Event 1 - Adept Handicap Sprint Final
Denise Hampsen (Team GB) got one the biggest cheers of the day when she kept 2002 White Hope Champion Ross Edgar at bay in the handicap sprint.

Event 2 - Impsport Elimination race
Doug Williams (Halesowen) had tried a brave escape but was consumed by the pack and the win went to Matthew Crampton.

Event 3 - GEM Hygiene White Hope Sprint (Heats)
Heat 1 - Ben Elliot (VC St Raphael)

Heat 5 - Keith Bannan (Team Title Choice Ireland)

Event 4 - Ed Taylor Points race
Tony Gibb broke away from the pack to pick up loads of points and won from Tyler Farrar (USA). Bradley Wiggins led the charge back to Tony Gibb and Wiggins crossed the line first, but the points were in Gibb's pocket.

Semi 1 - Jak Jenton Spragg (Data Phonics)
Semi 2 - Matthew Crampton (Sport Velo City)
Semi 3 - Keith Bannan (Team Title Choice Ireland)

Stuart O'Grady was a star of the day but he had to give best in the Pursuit behind Wiggins, Mann and Mcghee

Event 6 - SCCU Good Friday Centenary Pursuit
Paul Manning stepped in for David Millar who was injured and he pressured the winner Bradley Wiggins to take 2nd. Stuart O'Grady was a major star on the day and he avoided being caught by Bradley Wiggins by a whisker when the gun went to signify race end.

Bradley Wiggins powered around to win at an amazing rate, but for the 1st time in many years no one was eliminated.

Event 9 - Scratch race
Scott Budgen (Pearsons) made a stirling effort to go alone but like others he was swamped by the field. The victory went to Tom Smith of CC Cardiff.

Event 11 - Sport & Publicity Derny Race
Speed, goodness it was fast and the final laps saw Bradley McGhee, Stuart O'Grady and Chris Newton go side by side and wheel to wheel as they crossed the line 3 abreast. O'Grady taking it by a fraction.

1/4 final 1 - It was an Australian!
1/4 final 2 - Roberto Chiappa (Italy)
1/4 final 3 - Ryan Bayley (Australia)

Event 15 - Charlotteville Centenary Mile (even numbers)
Side by side went Bryan Taylor (VCL) and Fabio Mosotti (Italy) and with cries of 'go on Bryan', Taylor pipped the Italian on the line.

The attendance of high calibre riders such as Bradley McGhee and Stuart O'Grady saw the speed of races soar - but in the pursuit Bradley Wiggins was best

Event 16 - Classic Walls Sprint (1/4 final repechage)
1. Fabio Mosotti (Italy)

Event 17 - Impsport Super Elimination race
Tony Gibb, Chris Newton and local man Dominic Hill featured in a three man break.

Despite getting the most support Dominic Hill, the local man, played a strong role until his legs gave way on the last lap and he took 3rd from Gibb and Newton.

Roberto Chiappa headed Chris Hoy through the last turn but Hoy came round to take the win on the line.

Event 22 - Golden Wheel Scratch race 44.5 laps
Chris Newton led a 'royal' break, but missing from the escape group was Bradley Wiggins, Sean Yates, James Taylor and Russell Williams who then worked hard to bring them back.

Bradley Wiggins led the chase and his quality was very evident when he rode across to the break. Newton tried one last time to win but was caught on the last lap and Stuart O'Grady celebrated his win.

This was the best track race we have ever seen and crowd's wall thumping was top class.
